The event is held by by Mark Dawson, a PhD candidate at Coventry University and a member of the research group Global Learning at THUAS. Professor Katherine Wimpenny & Dr QueAng Dang (Coventry University) and Professor Jos Beelen (THUAS) jointly supervise his research project. Mark’s research focuses on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), a topic that has been an important theme at THUAS since 2016, as one of the instruments for internationalisation at home. THUAS for example participates in the Erasmus+ project iKudu for COIL with five European and five South African universities. As a researcher, Mark collaborates closely with other members of the research group Global Learning who have the same research interest, through calibration of methodology and sharing of outcomes.
